So it's been a few years since I stopped playing, and have only played a year prior to quitting. If not for my ADD and constant change of interests, then it would be that the only store that sold magic cards within a 30 minute driving radious of my house (luckily for me, the store that sold the magic cards was literally down the block from my house) went out of business. Not to mention I lost all my cards during a move.
Enough about me, though. Let's get right into it!
This blog is about those in the MTG community who are in the same boat as I am. People who want to get into competitive MTG gaming, but may have trouble finding their way there. If anything, I feel this blog should be a place for us noobs to help each other out with things such as Deck Building, Strategies, or anything else magic related.
Anyway, I guess I'll end this blog post on that note. I'll typically post when I find something that I feel may be beneficial to others or if I just happen to pull a Jace one of these days (I really hope I do).
This sounds like a really helpful blog. Interested in getting into MTG but not sure how. Keep us posted!
ReplyDeletehave no idea what mtg is
ReplyDeletemagic the gathering which is very relevant to my interests Ive been playing for a very very long time if your looking for a standard deck thats fairly competitive and cheap to build i could make up a decklist
ReplyDeleteI just recently dished out about 80 something dollars at toys r us for 12 booster packs and only got one crappy mythic.
ReplyDeleteI need to just buy a box online next time.
The cost of putting together a competitive deck really turned me away from MTG. I love the game itself, I actually play Duels of the Planeswalkers on Steam lol.
ReplyDeleteI may have to check out some cheap, cost effective decks, seeing as I have a massive load of friends that all play MTG/Yugioh.
I have a question, there is a shop near my house which seems to sell board games I want. But there are several nerds playing cards in the middle of the shop all day.
ReplyDeleteWill they recognize me as a fellow nerd and welcome to their lair? or they will just eat me. I just want to buy Settlers of Catan... D:
@Lendo Khar
ReplyDeleteIt all depends. The people I've played with are generally nice.
I just got to play MTG last year at a friend's house. Turns out he's been a huge collector/player for years and I never knew. We've played many times since then, but I've never gotten around to buying my own deck. Maybe I should finally pick one up.
ReplyDeleteMan, I haven't played MTG in years. Hell, I dunno if I still remember how. lol
ReplyDeleteAh MTG, I remember buying the cards many many years ago. Never got into it though.
ReplyDeletecame here from my blog mistbind.
ReplyDeletelove it!
also, you can check out my friend's website:
http://02drop.com
it's a strategy site for people in our position (just getting back into/starting to play competitive magic!) check it out!
Sounds good; been interested in getting into MTG; but didn't know how. Followed
ReplyDeleteI was playing competitive MTG battlegrounds (video game) Never tried the cards, except the gold/silver starter pack that never used. I was told that versions of decks expire and I didnt like that.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger me and my dad used to play MTG all the time. Im going to enjoy any posts that come up.
ReplyDeleteBuy singles at least your getting what you pay for, most of the time you lose out on packs.
ReplyDeleteuse magic workstation to test decks you want to build online before you go out and buy them.
@D
ReplyDeleteThanks, this site looks really helpfull.
@Zach
I'll try it out, I'm just bad at building decks in general.
